Lead HVAC and mechanical design for nuclear power infrastructure from AtkinsRéalis’ Mississauga office, using complex calculations and multidisciplinary engineering expertise.As a Senior HVAC & Mechanical Lead Engineer, you will oversee projects from concept through contract administration. You will lead detailed HVAC and cooling-system design, supervise engineers, and coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and process-control disciplines. The work supports nuclear power plants within a matrix organization.Key Responsibilities:
Lead detailed HVAC and cooling-system design activitiesPerform heat-load calculations and equipment sizingPrepare drawings, specifications, datasheets, and technical evaluationsReview calculations, reports, documents, and design drawingsCoordinate multidisciplinary meetings, site visits, and commissioning supportRequirements:
Engineering degree in mechanical, chemical, or engineering scienceCanadian provincial Professional Engineer registration with sealing authorityFifteen to twenty-plus years of progressive engineering experienceStrong knowledge of closed-loop and chilled-water systemsExperience leading technical professionals and communicating effectivelyApply HVAC leadership, nuclear infrastructure knowledge, and equipment-sizing expertise to complex AtkinsRéalis engineering projects.
