Job Responsibility: The Golden Hills School Division invites applications for a Vice P rincipal of Wheatland Elementary effective the start of the 2024/2025 school year. Strathmore is situated on the Trans Canada Highway, and only a 25-minute commute from Calgary. Teaching duties to be determined. Wheatland Elementary School is a Kindergarten to Grade 6 school. Preference will be given to applicants with the following qualifications: Evidence of leading for learning and strong teaching skills Demonstrated leadership in promoting and implementing inclusive education practices across the school Positive interpersonal relations with staff, parents, and community members Evidence of ability to work effectively within a collaborative decision-making environment and to promote a positive culture Masters Degree in Educational Leadership (or equivalent) or evidence of progress towards a Masters Degree Supportive of direction from principal and desire to advance to this role Applicants are asked to provide a current résumé with appropriate references and a one-page description of their philosophy as an educational leader, including a vision statement describing the priorities they wish to establish as Vice Principal.
