Engineering Associate

We are looking for an Engineering Associate - a skilled individual responsible for supporting production functions within the engineering department. You will assist in creating and executing engineering change notices, while supporting the design and development of new medical devices, manufacturing equipment and processes. The Engineering Associate also participates in risk management activities such as PFMEA, DFMEA, and verification/validation of devices, equipment, and processes.

What You Will Do

• Full-time Onsite
• Assist the engineering team in maintaining project related documents such as meeting minutes, drawings, specifications, reports, charts, and approvals.
• Create and implement engineering change notices, batch records, detailed operator working instructions, bill of materials, and train production personnel.
• Perform measurements and testing in support of engineering projects.
• Identify and deliver manufacturing cost reductions.
• Assist with implementing changes to current work cell, equipment, and tooling.
• Assist in the development, design and build of new manufacturing products, tools and processes.
• Create and update project plans using Microsoft Project software.
• Skilled in identifying issues and implementing resolutions promptly and efficiently.
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creating and maintaining detailed documentation is a major requirement of this role.
• Shall ensure that all business is performed with attention to detail and is done in accordance with the Southmedic Quality System, mission, and values.

What We Need

• Possess 1-3 years previous work experience in engineering, with a diploma or degree in Engineering or a science-based discipline.
• Highly disciplined and detail oriented, with strong experience in a deadline-focused regulated business environment.
• Previous experience working with AutoCAD, Solidworks and Microsoft Office
