Power Generation Technician - Heavy Duty Mechanic / Electrician Position

Put Put Contracting Inc. is seeking a Power Generation Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of diesel power systems at remote locations in the Yukon & Northern, BC. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, experience with diesel generator sets.
Responsibilities
- - Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on diesel generator sets.
- - Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- - Maintain fuel systems, switchgear, and control systems.
- - Conduct load testing and performance monitoring.
- - Maintain accurate service records.
- - Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- - Support additional site infrastructure systems as needed.
- - Travel by road and helicopter to remote microwave towers
Qualifications
- - Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic, Electrician, or equivalent experience.
- - 3–5 years of diesel generator experience.
- - Consideration will be given to Heavy Duty apprentices.
- - Strong electrical and control system knowledge.
- - Ability to work independently in remote environments.
- - Valid driver’s license.
