ABOUT THE TEAM
The Student Services and Global Partnerships team at RRC Polytech is dedicated to supporting students throughout their academic, personal, and professional journey; from first inquiry to graduation and beyond. We deliver integrated, student-centered services that expand access, support success, and strengthen global engagement. WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Scheduler creates, analyzes and validates data in the scheduling software to produce timetables for students, instructors and rooms. They will work in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent prioritization skills. Reporting to the Manager, Scheduling and Timetabling, this position supports departments with entering their course requirements in the scheduling software and guides them through the scheduling process to meet deadlines, thus ensuring timely student registration. The Scheduler must be able to work independently and collaboratively. 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Certificate in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience in the domain of Scheduling
• Experience in customer service and/or working in an administrative position at a post-secondary institution or within the public sector
• Experience in inputting, collecting, analyzing and verifying scheduling data
• Strong analytical skills to understand complex situations and predict outcomes and determine best course of action 
• Ability to manage a large volume workload with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adhere to confidentiality policies
• Ability to use conflict resolution techniques to deal with escalating situations
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn more complex software applications
• Ability to work independently but also part of a team
• Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

• Openness to using AI tools as relevant to role specific work
• Experience with scheduling and timetabling as well as using timetabling software

• Salary Range for this position:  $49,595 - $69,838 per annum
• Generous Paid Vacation: full-time employees accumulate a minimum of 15-days vacation per year, increasing to 30 days with service, while full-time Instructors accumulate 44 days per year. Information on casual and part-time vacation accrual is outlined in the Collective Agreement or the Terms and Conditions for Excluded Employees as applicable
• December Break: employees receive time off with pay during the period between Boxing Day and New Year's Day
