Regional Council Property Solicitor Role

Serve as the legal champion for the Regional Council as a Property Solicitor. Utilize your legal expertise in real estate to safeguard interests and advise effectively. In this impactful role, you will provide comprehensive legal advice to the Council, staff, and committees. Your primary responsibilities include supervising Legal Assistants, overseeing real estate transactions, and drafting essential legal documents. Your contributions will drive community projects and support various legal initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
• Advise Council on legal matters and strategies
• Supervise Legal Assistants and outside counsel
• Prepare reports and attend Council meetings
• Negotiate and draft real estate agreements
• Review applications for site plans and permits Requirements:
• Law degree from a recognized institution
• Registered lawyer with the Law Society of Ontario
• Extensive experience in real estate law
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to interpret complex legal documents Leverage your legal and negotiation skills to make a lasting impact in real estate matters for the Regional Council.
