Fabricator and Fitter, Platework JEBCO Industries Inc. Location Barrie, ON Salary 35.00 to 45.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 80 hours bi-weekly Full time Day Starts as soon as possible Benefits: Health benefits, Financial benefits, Other benefits Languages English Education Other trades certificate or diploma Pipefitting/pipefitter and sprinkler fitter Welding technology/welder Experience 5 years or more Work must be completed at the physical Location. There is no option to work remotely. Work setting Custom Work Responsibilities Determine materials required Interpret engineering drawings and others’ instructions to plan methods and sequences of operation Lay out reference points and patterns Study engineering drawings and blueprints Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures Weld or bolt sections together Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines Construct patterns and templates Install fabricated components in final product Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Metal Fabricator Trade Certification Metal Fabricator (Fitter) Red Seal Certificate Experience and specialization Welding techniques Flux core arc welding (FCAW) Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) Equipment and machinery experience Cutting torches Grinder Saws Area of specialization Structural metal or steel Platework Additional information Security and safety Bondable Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence Own transportation Work conditions and physical capabilities Manual dexterity Hand-eye co-ordination Combination of sitting, standing, walking Attention to detail Own tools/equipment Steel-toed safety boots Welding helmet Personal suitability Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Initiative Organized Reliability Team player Values and ethics Benefits Health benefits Dental plan Disability benefits Health care plan Paramedical services coverage Financial benefits Group insurance benefits Life insurance Other benefits Free parking available Parking available Until: 2026-08-06
