Principal Engineer for AI Model Serving

Contribute to Workday's innovation as a Principal Engineer on the AI Model Serving team. Specialize in designing scalable distributed systems and guiding technical direction.
This role involves shaping the vision of Workday’s AI Model Serving platform while ensuring the deployment of machine learning models operates smoothly. With over 8 years of experience, you'll collaborate with engineers and ML teams, leveraging your extensive Python knowledge and system design skills to advance our AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on the product vision for AI model serving
• Make strategic design decisions for system efficiency
• Oversee production workflows for ML models
• Generate documentation for technical alignment
• Explore new technology implementation within the platform
Requirements:
• 8+ years in software development specializing in distributed systems
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or a similar discipline
• Deep expertise in Python with building operational systems
• Familiarity with large language models and ML deployment
• Skilled in using Ray Serve for model serving
