At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.

Could you be the full-time Engineering Delivarables Manager in Thunder Bay, ON we’re looking for?

More Than a Job: A Mission

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and solution-oriented teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring our rolling stock systems meet technical requirements and customer expectations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (Engineering Metiers, Certification & Validation teams, suppliers, and customers), lead technical discussions, and oversee requirement development and system integration.

You’ll specifically take care of resource, schedule and requirements management.

Your Role, Your Impact

• Plan activities with the métiers and projects
• Advise in the scenario planning creation for the site to ensure there is sufficient workload capacity.
• Prepare and analyse scenarios of deliverables based on opportunities in the pipeline.
• Ensure clear mitigation plans are in place for métiers when underloaded.
• Propose Shared Engineering Center (SEC) adjustments with other sites, if needed.

• Complete requirements management interfaces (DOORS) and contract deliverables

• Defining and performing train verification strategies in collaboration with Engineering Metiers and Certification & Validation teams

• Contributing to continuous improvement by sharing Return on Experience (RoE)

What You Bring

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

• Technical knowledge of vehicle manufacturing, and project scheduling fundamentals.

• Minimum of 4 years of rolling stock experience (or safety-critical transport or similar industry, owning system-level requirements for a full design team), including services contract execution (mandatory)

• Technical knowledge of transit vehicles and/or Public Transportation Industry

• Proficiency in meeting, validating, and managing contractual requirements (mandatory)

• Proficiency in project mangement (mandatory)
• PMP training or certification is an asset

• Strong customer-facing and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and Alstom’s position clearly.

A Great Place to Grow

• Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from monotonous daily routines

• Work with cutting-edge technologies and new standards for Transit Vehicles

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and supportive colleagues

• Contribute to innovative and sustainable transport projects

• Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

• Steer your career in the direction you choose, with opportunities across functions and countries

• Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning programs

• Progress towards leadership or specialized roles within the organization

• Receive a fair and dynamic reward package that recognizes your performance and potential, along with comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

Here, progress isn't always easy but the impact is real. Because the scale is massive, the tasks are complex when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
