Trusted Footcare since 1975. For 50 years Footcare on Bay has been dedicated to expert chiropody and foot-focused sports medicine. Whether it's chronic pain, injuries, or preventative care and maintenance, we help you stay active, mobile, and pain free - one step at a time.
As a part of the Footcare on Bay Team, the Footcare Nurse is responsible for providing a variety of medical foot care services, including nail and skin care. They will assess and provide treatment which includes the management of acute and chronic conditions. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, disciplined and looking to be part of our exciting journey so based on a long-term partnership with exceptional growth potential.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience providing nursing footcare as an Advanced Footcare Nurse.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement a treatment program in accordance with the professional college's standards of practice.
- Educate patients on their treatment program, foot hygiene, and preventative care.
- Can provide routine and advanced footcare (nail care, callus and corn removal, skin assessments, and wound care).
- Consults with other allied health care professionals within the clinic to develop treatment plans for clients.
- Is proactive at building a successful Footcare Nursing business within the clinic where patients are both acquired and retained.
- Maintains patient records, charts, and the EMR.
- Ensuring treatment rooms and equipment are all well maintained.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario with current professional liability insurance.
- Competent and compliant with the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses (CAFCN) National Competencies for Advanced Nursing Foot Care in Canada.
- Excellent patient service skills that build loyalty and referrals.
- Able to work a variety of shifts including days, weekends, and evenings.
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
