RQ09989 - Business Intelligence Specialist - Junior

Key deliverables to be performed by the Business Intelligence Specialist role include, but are not limited to, the following: <\/span>

• Supports Client’s wide\-ranging business information requirements, implementing and supporting business intelligence software solutions <\/span>
  <\/li>
  
  
• Develops and supports customized query applications which analyze key business data <\/span>
  <\/li>
  
  
• Develops and supports guided analysis and drill\-down functionality, routine scheduling and notification of report generation, and effective implementation of “opportunity” and “key\-trend” alerts. <\/span>
  <\/li>
  
  
• Provides Clients with approach options and tools for managing business\-related data in a manner that assists in quantitative analysis of progress and the relationship between operational actions and their effect on business objectives. <\/span>

• Develop presentations for various audiences, as required. <\/span>
  <\/li>
  
  
• Work with the business and IT areas to complete any activities required to accomplish above and other deliverables as required during the assignment. <\/span>

• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and software as a service using Azure, Databricks and Power BI is an asset. <\/span>

      • All deliverables, including design\/supporting\/release\/training documents must be checked into designated version control repositories (for example, SharePoint).       • Project manager and designated ministry staff must be regularly informed in writing (by email) of where documentation has been stored and must be provided a minimum of one walk\-through of all documentation as part of the final knowledge transfer activities. <\/span>

          • Demonstrates experience creating complex SQL scripting for data analysis, profiling, and data migration tasks, optimizing queries for large datasets, and ensuring data integrity across platforms (e.g., from Oracle to SQL Server or Cognos to Power BI).
