KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Fundraising
With training and direction from the Legacy Director, the Legacy Giving Officer is responsible for managing a portfolio of 500 planned giving prospects, developing individual Legacy Giving Officer
strategies for initial meetings, face-to-face relationship building and solicitation of legacy gifts
Strengthen relationships within a portfolio of confirmed Legacy Society members through timely and appropriate annual activities
Achieve ambitious annual activity targets
Collaborate effectively with development colleagues, including the Senior Vice-President and the President & CEO, to ensure an integrated approach to fundraising
Other duties as assigned
Work in collaboration with the Director, Legacy Programs to contribute to the Foundations significant Legacy Program, including a legacy campaign, donor surveys, in-person visits and data-mining of the Foundations database
Bring forward new ideas to build awareness about the value of legacy giving to donors
Track data within the Foundations database and through other means to assist with annual program budget and business planning KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
