Technician I, Sample Management
Altasciences
Altasciences seeks a Technician I for sample management at its Laval facility. The role involves inventory tracking, LIMS transactions, sample storage, preparation for shipment, and disposal of study materials in compliance with regulatory standards. Training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inventory, label, and track study samples and analytical materials in LIMS
- Ensure proper storage conditions and locations for samples and reference standards
- Prepare samples and materials for shipment and conduct disposal procedures
- Handle Containment Level 2 and cytotoxic study materials according to protocols
- Process service requests and generate study material reports
Requirements
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in health sciences, laboratory technology, or related field
- Minimum 6 months of work experience
- Fluent in French and English
- Proficiency with Access, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Watson LIMS
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of FDA-GLP, GCP, and TPD regulations preferred
