Roadway Design Project Engineer

Lead roadway design for TYLin’s Toronto team, using Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoads on Ontario transportation infrastructure projects.This hands-on Project Engineer role supports municipal and provincial roads and highways across Ontario. You will coordinate civil infrastructure design, guide junior staff, and collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams. The work includes roadway geometry, grading, drainage, utilities, submissions, and construction-phase support.Key Responsibilities:
Lead roadway reconstruction, rehabilitation, and improvement design projectsPrepare calculations, drawings, quantities, estimates, specifications, and tender documentsIntegrate drainage, sewers, watermains, culverts, and utilitiesCoordinate MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D deliverablesReview junior staff work and support quality assuranceRequirements:
Minimum five years of civil or transportation engineering experienceBachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer license in good standing with PEOExperience with roadway geometry, grading, drainage, and municipal servicingWorking proficiency with Bentley and Autodesk design platformsBring roadway engineering judgment, coordinated design skills, and technical leadership to TYLin’s Ontario transportation projects.
