The Role
As a key member of our team the Spa Practitioner is responsible for performing professional massages, facials, and body treatments to the guest. They must have a thorough knowledge of massage modalities, be certified in skin care, possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in our spa’s specific massage and body treatment offerings. They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.

Your contributions to the team include:

• Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments following spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
• Effectively inform and educate our guests about specific wellness concerns.
• Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously, providing accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests.
• Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, and retail, as well as programs, promotions, and/or discounts available.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
• Communicate to management any occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
• Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
• Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
• Perform prep work, properly clean, and restock room as required.
• Possess the ability to work without direct supervision.
• Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
• Support and promote the resort as a whole, being helpful to other areas when necessary.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.

A few things we are looking for in a new team member:

• The ideal candidate will be available for manicure, pedicure, body treatment and massage.
• 2 years of Spa experience.
• 2 years of guest service experience.
• Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Excellent customer service, communication and listening skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Problem-solving skills, critical thinking, significant use of memory.
• Proven ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• The desire for continuous learning.
• Flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of Manicures and Pedicures is an asset.
