This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Toronto office, in accordance with Aon's Smart Working policy.

What the day will look like

As a senior leader within Aon's Natural Resources Practice, you will serve as the strategic relationship lead for a portfolio of large and complex clients across sectors such as, Power & Renewables mining, energy, forestry, and related industries. You will partner with clients' executive teams to develop innovative risk solutions, drive retention and growth, and coordinate the delivery of Aon's broad range of advisory and risk management capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and growing relationships with large, sophisticated Natural Resources clients
• Acting as the primary executive sponsor and trusted advisor to C-suite and senior client stakeholders
• Developing and executing strategic account plans that drive client retention, growth, and profitability
• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within existing and prospective client organizations
• Collaborating with brokers, analytics professionals, claims specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver integrated solutions
• Leading client renewal and stewardship discussions while providing insights on market trends and emerging risks
• Supporting and mentoring colleagues while fostering collaboration across the organization
• Representing Aon within the Natural Resources sector through industry engagement, networking, and thought leadership activities

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• 12+ years experience in commercial insurance, risk advisory, brokerage, or consulting with deep expertise supporting Natural Resources clients
• Proven success managing and expanding large, complex client relationships while building credibility with executive stakeholders
• Strong understanding of risk management, insurance program design, market dynamics, and industry trends within sectors such as mining, energy, forestry, or related industries
• Demonstrated business development and sales success, including identifying opportunities and achieving growth objectives
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at senior leadership levels
