Customer Service Representative –Recreation Cashier
Regular Part-Time
You will be an integral part of our dedicated staff team who continually strive to make a difference in the recreation and cultural lives of North Vancouver residents. NVRC values employees, offering a competitive salary and a great working environment. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
You will deliver excellent front line customer experiences by providing information to the public, searching programs, processing registrations, and selling day passes/memberships in person and over the phone, collecting payments and assisting with related administrative responsibilities. ABOUT YOU

You are courteous and effective with the public in providing information and assistance regarding programs, activities and community events. You enjoy working with a diverse group of people and embrace change and challenges. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Previous customer service training, experience, and cash handling experience is desirable. Knowledge of recreation software, and Microsoft business tools (Excel and Word) would also be beneficial. All employees will be available to work at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location. All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a condition of employment. HOURLY RATES & BENEFITS: The pay for this unionized position starts at step 1, $25.22 per hour and ranges up to $29.48 per hour (2024 rates), plus 10% in lieu. Comprehensive benefits include dental, extended health, and life insurance coverage, participation in the Municipal Pension Plan upon eligibility, and access to an Employee Family Assistance Program. HOURS OF WORK: 20 hours per week including weekends, days or evenings based on operational needs, with the option to pick up additional shifts.
