Summary of responsibilities

Reporting to the Supervisor Sterile Processing Department, the CSR Aide cleans, prepares, sterilizes and delivers reprocessed surgical supplies and equipment

Requirements of the job

• Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma
• Successful completion of the Central Service Technique Course and recertification every 5 years
• Six (6) months of recent experience within the last 24 months operating sterilization equipment within an CSR/SPD environment
• Ability to push/pull Central Supply cart
• Ability to push sterilizer carts into autoclave
• Ability to unload linen O.R. bundles from cart to counter
• Able to lift sterilized O.R. bundles overhead onto shelving
• Able to stand 6 to 7 hours each day
• Able to use necessary soaps and solutions
• Good communication and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety

• Endoscopy reprocessing experience
