Remote Senior Copywriter

Senior Copywriter

Oh, hello there, storyteller.

Funday is a full-service & fully-remote agency made up of people who are friendly and hardworking in equal measure. Inspired by an unrelenting belief that having fun is integral to creativity, we like to say we’re all about fun and brains. You know, that sweet spot between where pretty and performance meet and where insight and imagination produce the entirely unexpected? That’s where we thrive.

As a Senior Copywriter you will report directly to a Creative Director and work closely with the creative team. Your role will be varied and may change from day to day. One minute you’ll be concepting a 360° campaign; the next you’ll be crafting social ideas that tap into culture and make waves. We’re a small group scattered around the globe and everyone gets their hands dirty. You’ll always be part of a team that has a passion for great work, including creatives, strategists, technologists, and producers who will help you push the work forward.

You’ll want to read this part

• Portfolio: Don’t forget to include your portfolio – if there isn’t a portfolio, we won’t consider your application. Sounds harsh, but we get LOTS of applications.
• Where you live & can work matters: If you live in Canada, are able to work here, and you are in one of these provinces: BC, AB, or ON – please apply! Otherwise, we’re sorry, we’re not set up to support staff outside of these regions.
• Cover Letter – if you have something to share that’s not obvious on your resume, submit a cover letter; otherwise, save yourself some time and don’t.
• Lots of postings – only 1 role
  • We post the same role in multiple locations to help us cast a wide net.
  • Applying to each location for a posting will not increase your chances. Now that we’ve saved you some time, go do something fun!
  • This posting is for an existing vacancy we are looking to fill immediately and not a prospective future role (i.e. we’re saying this isn’t a ghost job).

Come be a Funatic

We believe you won’t perform at your best if you’re not having fun. And you can’t have fun if you’re not performing. We believe that this creates the best client + agency relationships, and is the best way to make great work.

We believe in respect, inclusivity, kindness, equity, and equality. We want to make a positive impact. We believe that collaboration is the fun part of being at work. We strive to create a culture in which “we” is more important than “me”.
Apart from loving terrible fun puns, we’re a start-up, and we’re growing fast – which means you’ll have a chance to make your mark and grow with us. We’re also almost 100% remote, and that might not appeal to everyone – but if you value flexibility, it’s perfect.
