Floor Associate

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Floor Associate (Sales Associate) to join our team. This is a customer-focused position , ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others, enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked department.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Assistance:

• Provide outstanding customer service across all departments.
• Assist customers with product selection, information, and recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain a positive and helpful attitude while addressing customer needs promptly and professionally.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock by conducting regular checks and audits.
• Initiate replenishment orders when necessary.
• Identify and suggest promotions for slow-moving products.

Cleanliness and Organization:

• Keep your department clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Ensure shelves, displays, and aisles are tidy and products are properly labeled and priced.

Planogram and Merchandising:

• Update and maintain planograms to optimize product placement and visibility.
• Collaborate closely with our Merchandizer Specialist, Jean Ann, to implement changes.

Product Knowledge and Suggestions:

• Stay informed about new products and trends relevant to your department.
• Work with the purchaser to suggest new product additions, providing research and recommendations.

Product Labeling:

• Create and update product labels as needed, ensuring they are accurate and clear.
• Remove any outdated or damaged labels promptly.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Retail experience, especially in hardware or home improvement, is considered an advantage.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
