Your opportunity: Under the direction of the Assistant Manager, Campus Services, the incumbent is responsible for the overall administrative, operational and financial control of the Campus Moving and Logistics operation. Plans, implements and schedules work load in conjunction with budgeting and labour management in timely and efficient manner. Must efficiently manage a customer service oriented program which provides a wide variety of service options. These duties are accomplished through frequent contact with staff, faculty and students in person, by phone or by written communication. The incumbent will oversee a fleet of 15 vehicles. Must possess a valid provincial Class 'G' driver's license. The successful incumbent must also be able and willing to obtain the certification of completion in TDG - Transportation of Dangerous Goods. Your responsibilities will include:

• Liaising with management to determine scheduling priorities
• Planning and implementing workflow for the unit
• Fostering positive relationships with campus community
• Resolving service complaints
• Providing safety training and ensuring compliance to occupational safety precautions
• Supervising non-USW bargaining unit employees
• Providing orientation to others on work procedures and practices
• Providing formal job-related training

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years in a role of similar responsibility
• Experience supervising staff in a unionized environment
• Experience in labour relations within a unionized environment and health & safety
• Demonstrated experience in implementing, overseeing and assessing client services standards, policies, and procedures
• Experience planning and implementing the workflow of a team
• Ability to exercise good judgement, tact and diplomacy
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in order to coordinate and direct the work of the department. Ability to manage multiple demands and resolve priority conflicts
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both verbal and written). Ability to work in a collaborative environment with a client service orientation
• Ability to probe for information and missing details
• Excellent time management and organization sills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service skills in providing detailed information and support to internal stakeholders
• Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Sharepoint, SAP, TimekeeperSQI)
• Must possess a valid provincial Class 'G' driver's license
