Clinical Respiratory Consultant

Location: Medicine Hat - 13th Ave SE (RHS) Responsibilities

Provide respiratory services with a focus on sleep diagnostics and therapeutics to clients while collaborating with referring physicians and ensuring patient safety. Conduct appointments and set up equipment for sleep diagnostic testing in accordance with American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines. Evaluate client therapies based on referrals and determine respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians. Initiate PAP therapy when prescribed, providing patients with education, instructions of use, and cleaning and maintenance of their equipment. Provide regular follow‑up to clients to evaluate the effects of therapeutic care and recommend adjustments and modifications to increase compliance and comfort with therapy. Actively promote related products and provide solutions to client needs. Maintain the most up‑to‑date continuing education related to the position to ensure clients receive current therapies and devices. Follow established company protocols for the cleaning and disinfection of all equipment. Perform all required administration tasks and maintain knowledge of funding processes and systems. Ensure quality documentation through completion of all company documentation and forms, both digital and non‑electronic, as per policy. Maintain client confidentiality and protect company operations by safeguarding information. Continuously improve branch operations by evaluating processes and workflow, and participating in quality improvement activities. Provide instruction, supervision and evaluation to new staff and students when necessary. Qualifications

Registered Nurse or RPN/LPN CPSGT, RPSGT or CCSH, College Certificate or Diploma in a Technical/Medical Science field where permitted. Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body. Valuable knowledge of obstructive sleep apnea and CPAP therapy. Working knowledge of Microsoft, Google applications and Android. Equal Prospect Employer Statement
