Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic Senior Product Marketing Manager to serve as the Solution Owner for SAP HANA Cloud. This field-facing leadership role drives the commercial success of SAP HANA Cloud both as a standalone database offering and as an integral part of our broader SAP Business Data Cloud and Business AI Platform strategies.

 

What you'll do 

Solution Ownership & Strategy

• Lead comprehensive product positioning and messaging for SAP HANA Cloud in competitive database markets
• Develop and execute commercial strategies that differentiate SAP HANA Cloud as a market-leading database-as-a-service solution
• Drive business success by positioning unique capabilities optimized for modern AI workloads

Market Leadership & Commercial Excellence

• Own pricing and packaging strategies to maximize market penetration and revenue growth
• Provide expert deal support and manage exception approval processes
• Lead sunset process management for legacy offerings and transitions

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Design and deliver comprehensive field enablement programs for sales and partner teams
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales organizations to align go-to-market strategies
• Serve as primary field-facing spokesperson and subject matter expert for SAP HANA Cloud

 

What you bring

Technical & Market Expertise

• Deep database market knowledge with understanding of competitive landscape and industry trends
• Proven experience in pricing and packaging strategies for enterprise software or cloud services
• Strong grasp of modern data architectures and AI/ML workload requirements

Leadership & Communication

• Excellent communication skills in English with ability to present to executive and technical audiences
• Demonstrated leadership experience in product marketing or solution ownership roles
• Strong conflict management and cross-functional collaboration abilities

Execution Excellence

• Exceptional ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple complex initiatives
• Track record of driving measurable business results in competitive technology markets
• Experience with enterprise sales processes and deal support methodologies

 

Strategic Impact

This role represents the primary field-facing position for SAP HANA Cloud, making it essential to SAP’s Data & Analytics strategy. The successful candidate will directly influence market positioning and revenue growth for one of SAP’s most strategic cloud offerings, while supporting the broader SAP Business AI Platform vision.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 108100-222800CAD . The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
