Our Vancouver-based client is seeking an OT (Operational Technology) Support resource for a 12-month contract opportunity. This is an on-site role with potential for flexibility to work remotely once settled into the position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tier 2 Technical Support with a Network Focus 
• Support Front End/Server Operations for building systems including HVAC, electrical, lighting, CCTV, Access Control and life safety systems.
• Network monitoring and incident triage for  Building Systems and IoT-enabled devices.
• Assist in getting operators familiarized with the Integrated Building Management Platform and working directly with the Building Operations Centre Team. 
• Collaborate with IT to support the users within the Corporate Offices, and those systems available to users. 
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot system issues using digital tools and remote diagnostics. 
• Support integration of new technologies, sensors, and automation platforms.
• Wireless Network Support 
• Maintain compliance with cybersecurity, understanding how users interact with technology and report back with concerns
• Document operational procedures and provide training on smart building technologies for the team

Supplemental Responsibilities:

• Provide frontline support for Audio Visual Equipment, Point Of Sales Systems potentially be involved in Large Performance Setups for Main Stage performances (monthly)
• Understand the product delineation for the 20+ applications that are a part of operating TOM, where network meets the physical and logical components for operation
• Manage Relationship with Carriers
• Understanding incident and outage triage, when and where to transition from a network support to vendor support

Qualifications:

• Technical diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in front line support, with exposure to building or OT technologies.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles for operational technology.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in technology and systems deployment in new construction and existing built environments
• IT and OT Experience
• Full understanding of OSI Model and all Layers
• Experience with Passive Optical Networks
• Familiarity with Cyber and Network Security best practices
• Familiarity with a range of building systems (Building Automation, Lighting, CCTV, Access Control, Audio Visual, IoT Sensors)
• Experience with system commissioning, troubleshooting, and escalation to vendors/third parties for support
• Experience with structured cabling or complex networks (Fiber and Copper)
• Experience with Large Scale Network deployments (Hospitals, Stadiums, ICS Environments)
