Typical Duties

• Must have extensive road, earthworks, and sewer construction experience
• Be able to coordinate construction activities for a project and ensure activities are executed in a safe, healthy, environmentally responsible and efficient manner
• Strength in identifying needs and deficiencies in looking ahead at the plan/schedule and communicating these to the appropriate persons
• Experience in overseeing the execution of the work, including quality and production, by ensuring that the crews work to job specifications and follow drawings
• Must be able to collaborate with Superintendent/Project Managers as to equipment needs, job procedures, manpower needs, job scope changes, or any issues that arise on the job site.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, plans and specifications.
• Extensive knowledge of the materials and equipment required in roadbuilding and earthworks related projects.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a construction leadership role
• Construction Health & Safety knowledge and experience
• Time management and organization skills
• Effective problem solving and decision making skills
• Positive and professional attitude
• A self-motivated personality that can be successful independently and in a team environment
