Garden Centre Merchandiser (Seasonal)

Job Responsibility:

STARTING IMMEDIATELY - 3 shifts per week Mon, Wed, Fri from 10am-2pm

As a Seasonal Garden Centre Merchandiser, you will contribute to the beauty of our garden center, ensuring an inviting atmosphere that delights customers and showcases our seasonal products.

Responsibilities:

Display Set Up

• Arrange and showcase products in a customer-friendly manner.
• Product Rotation and Maintenance:
• Regularly update displays for new arrivals and highlight promotions.
• Ensure all products are correctly priced and have accurate signage.
• Monitor and report any damaged or unsellable merchandise.

Customer Engagement

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries

Stocking and Inventory

• Assist maintaining organized inventory levels.
• Replenish products and ensure a well-stocked garden center.

Visual Standards

• Maintain visual standards by keeping displays clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing.
• Follow company merchandising guidelines and set up to schematic

Team Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with store associates to achieve shared goals.
• Communicate regularly with managers to provide updates on inventory and customer feedback

Qualifications

• Passion for gardening and outdoor living.
• Previous retail, merchandising or labour experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Being able to work in an extremely fast paced and time sensitive environment
• Enjoy working in an outdoor environment
• Comfortable handling physical tasks like pushing, pulling and lifting up to 40lbs on a daily basis
• A smartphone with data for team communication, training tools and to clock and out of shifts

Availability

• This is a seasonal position a merchandisers MUST be available during peak gardening seasons from May to Mid June
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as required

Job Types: Part-time, SeasonalContract length: 6 weeks

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 16 per week
