Your Role & Impact
Under the guidance of Chief operating engineer, you will play a key role in addressing the following
challenges:
Job Summary
Operate & maintain various control systems.
Responsibilities
Operate automated control systems
Monitor and inspect plant equipment
Measure temperature flow and pressure
Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction
Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs as required
Perform routine equipment maintenance
Clean and lubricate machinery and components
Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities
Write plant or building operation reports
Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures
Other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Role
Requirements and Work Conditions
Refrigeration B certification
Must be proficient in the use of the Refrigeration Code and ensure proper handling of equipment and hand tools
Must be able to read and understand blueprints
Must have own tools
Experience with computerized control systems, high- and low-pressure boilers, pumps, compressors, motors, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, meters, ammonia refrigeration, cooling towers, HVAC, electronic controls, programmable logic controllers (PLC) and Freon Refrigeration Air Handling Units an asset
Will work closely with Maintenance department when required
