Cabinet Engineer

Job Responsibility:
SUMMARY/OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITY:
We are looking for a new Cabinet Engineer to join the team. It is important that the individual has prior experience in custom cabinetry and millwork, while is well versed with Microvellum software, construction methods, & installation techniques.
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Support the sales/design team and collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and can be manufactured efficiently.
- Using Microvellum software; create job specific production machinery computer code files that will be used for manufacturing
- Thorough understanding of nested CNC controlled three axis router(s)
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
- Provide technical support for the production team and help troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest Microvellum / CAD software, tools, and techniques.
- Apply your millwork and cabinetry background to create economical assembly and installation methods.
- Other duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
- 3+ years experience in a cabinetry engineering role
- Strong understanding of wood machinery principles and knowledge.
- Reliable and Punctual
- Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
- Detail-orientation, with strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Professional attitude and excellent time management skills, with an ability to commit and meet objectives and responsibilities
