Join us as  Interiors Industrial Engineer  for the Component Development Center (CDS) ,  and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in St-Bruno, Canada.

As  Interiors Industrial Engineer  you will be responsible to ensure the seamless integration of interior components into the train.

RESPONSABILITIES:

• Ensure Quality, Cost, Delivery (QCD) of all industrialization deliverables to meet project objectives.
• Participate in technical design reviews and ensure industrial requirements are addressed during product design and specification phases.
• Ensure proper collaborative work during co-engineering phase and ICON meetings with other métiers/departments to define the interior industrial strategy (define mounting sequence, tool accessibility and parts kinematic in the car)
• Ensure the application of logistics requirements with supply chain for special packaging and kitting requirements for train interior components.
• Propose and define handling and/or assembly tooling, including lifting and handling of parts as well product protection during manipulation.
• Lead First Article Review (FAR) and participate in First Mounting Review (FMR) for interior components with onsite train industrial and operations teams.
• Document and track FAR/FMR Open Issues List (OIL) and support interior engineering teams in the resolution of issues and actions with suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Coordinating with Engineering on design changes, technical clarifications and retrofits.
• Propose industrial savings opportunities to optimize products and packaging to reduce overall costs. Identification and quantification of total industrial cost savings.
• Production support (as needed) onsite at Train Manufacturing Sites (TMS) in Canada and USA.
• Collaborate with the interior platform team for continuous improvement of processes based on Return of Experience (REX).

AS OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering background with 5 to 10 years’ experience.
• Strong technical/manufacturing background in Interiors for the transportation industry
• Ability to prioritize and to work effectively under pressure to meet the deadline.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to plan and prioritize competing demands based on risk, urgency, and QCD impact.
• Able to work in an international, multi-site and matrix organization structure.
• Strong communications skills and collaborative teamwork.
• Ability to influence without direct authority, using diplomacy, perseverance, and an open mind.
• Ability to simultaneously support multiple projects at varying stages of maturity.

Bilingualism

Proficiency in French and English is required. Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset when working with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and customers. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.
