Industrial Painter

Our company is an industry leader in structural steel manufacturing and mechanical equipment supply and install.  We are looking for an individual to join our team as an industrial painter.

Summary:

We are looking to fill the position of Industrial Painter. This position is a permanent, full-time job based out of our paint shop in Sperling Manitoba.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Follow instructions from paint shop supervisor
• Read and understand all job hazard assessments as well as follow all applicable safety procedures and practices
• Use spray application methods to apply enamel and polyurethane paints
• Sand blasting
• Operating forklifts and other motorized equipment
• Perform general shop duties as required
• Maintain and trouble shoot equipment related to the paint shop
• Must work well with co-workers

Requirements:

• Effective communication skills. 
• Must be hard working, reliable, punctual and safety conscious
• Ability to work independently as well as with others
• Strong understanding of quality control practices, including measuring surface profiles, adhesion, coating thickness, and ambient environmental conditions.

Compensation:

• Starting salary $22-$25.00 plus an hour depending on qualifications and experience.
• Overtime remunerated at 1.5x
