Senior Indirect Tax Consultant at Ryan

In this pivotal role, you will deliver fee-based consulting services within Ryan’s Transaction Tax Group. With five or more years of accounting experience, you’ll engage in client audits, tax filings, and compliance reviews, ensuring clients' needs are met effectively. Collaborate with teams and participate in training sessions to enhance tax knowledge across various engagements. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct client engagements including audits and compliance reviews
• Create and update tax matrices and handle disclosures
• Analyze tax assessments and recommend appeal strategies
• Prepare and deliver tax seminars for clients
• Assist in secondments to client sites as required

Requirements:

• Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA or similar)
• Minimum five years of tax-related experience
• Strong knowledge of GST and sales tax legislation
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Preferred completion of CPA Canada Commodity Tax Course
