Senior Procurement Category Specialist

Lead strategic procurement for CN in Montreal, using category management, sourcing, negotiation, and supplier performance expertise within a hybrid model.As a Senior Specialist, you will independently manage end-to-end procurement activities for Engineering Track Maintenance Services. You will support safe, reliable rail operations through category strategies, complex RFx events, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management. The work partners with Engineering, Mechanical, Operations, Finance, and corporate functions.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute category procurement strategies aligned with objectivesLead RFx events through supplier selection and awardAnalyze spend, markets, and total cost modelsNegotiate supplier contracts across commercial and operational termsManage supplier performance, reviews, and improvement plansRequirements:
Minimum four years of progressive procurement or supply chain experienceBachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or related fieldAdvanced procurement analytics and spend management proficiencyExperience with SAP, Ariba, and Fieldglass platformsUp to ten percent North American travelBring category management, contract negotiation, analytics, and supplier performance expertise to CN's Montreal procurement team.
