We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at Henry Larsen Elementary School.

The staff at Henry Larsen works collaboratively in a team-based approach, striving for effective program delivery. Our motto “Through Caring and Sharing We Learn” truly lives, as the entire school has participated in such charitable and community activities as the Terry Fox Run as well as several local food and clothing drives. Donations to various charitable organizations are made on an ongoing basis with money raised from various student activities. The caring focus of these activities has strengthened our community and provided many authentic learning opportunities for students. Parents, guardians and staff have always worked together to build an effective and stimulating learning community, one that fosters self-respect, care for others, and the rewards of a job well done.

This posting is open to all Occasional Teachers who DO NOT currentlyhave a part time contract.

***Please note that at OCDSB the term contract refers to positions that are permanent and not Long Term Occasional (LTO) or temporary assignments.

The French language freeze continues to be in effect. Therefore, if you accept any teaching percentage of French contract, you may only be considered for other French contract positions.

Applications will be considered in the following order:

1. All OCDSB Elementary Contract teachers (full-time & part-time teachers, teachers interested in transferring or increasing status) are equally eligible to apply for this OCDSB vacancy for which they are qualified.
2. For French vacancies: FSL Pool Placements where possible
3. For all remaining unfilled French and all English vacancies: At least three (3) teachers, who are currently employed as an occasional teacher with the OCDSB, and who have the required OCT qualifications and who best meet the criteria outlined in the job posting
4. If fewer than three (3) qualified applicants apply, all qualified applicants will be interviewed.
5. External applicants.
