Working at Cambie Older Adults Mental Health and Substance Services, you'll engage with patients over 65, addressing their unique mental health needs. You'll work alongside geriatric psychiatrists and allied health professionals, practicing culturally protected and inclusive care while supporting family involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centered psychiatric care to elderly patients
  • Consult and collaborate effectively within the healthcare team
  • Practice trauma-informed care and include family members
  • Support Indigenous patients with culturally sensitive practices
  • Oversee continuity of care in acute and community environments
  • Conduct outpatient visits, community outreach, and ongoing psychiatric management

Qualifications

  • Hold a BC medical license (unrestricted or provisional)
  • Fellowship in Psychiatry; Geriatric Psychiatry training preferred
  • Eligible or appointed clinical faculty at UBC
  • CMPA membership is required
