Rate: CAD 60 - 70 per hour

Role Summary: NearSource is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer - React & 3D to join a high-impact engineering team delivering immersive web experiences for a Fortune 500 product company. The successful candidate will architect and build scalable cloud-connected XR workflows leveraging modern frontend technologies 3D graphics frameworks and cloud-native services to enable next-generation collaborative design experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and enhance modern web applications supporting immersive XR workflows.
• Build scalable frontend solutions using or integrated with enterprise cloud platforms.
• Develop collaborative multi-user 3D web experiences using industry-standard graphics frameworks.
• Collaborate with Product Managers UX Designers and Software Engineers to research prototype and deliver innovative product capabilities.
• Architect and implement full-stack solutions including backend services and cloud integrations.
• Integrate applications with REST APIs and real-time communication technologies such as WebSockets.
• Deliver high-performance responsive and maintainable user interfaces following modern engineering best practices.
• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning code reviews testing and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to technical architecture discussions and drive engineering excellence across the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges while maintaining high standards of quality scalability and performance.

Must-Have Skills

• 8 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in or .
• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and developing full-stack applications with cloud deployment models.
• Hands-on experience with 3D graphics frameworks such as or similar technologies.
• Experience implementing real-time communication using WebSockets or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with services particularly Amazon S3.
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub version control.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced product-focused engineering environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Masters degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with containerized application development.
• Familiarity with Augmented Reality (AR) Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) technologies.
• Exposure to enterprise-scale cloud-native application architectures.
