Legal Counsel for Construction Projects

As part of Pomerleau’s Operational Support team, you will be instrumental in the company's success across Western Canada. Your role involves drafting and negotiating various contracts, offering legal advice to project teams, and maintaining contract templates. Your expertise in construction law and commercial law will be vital as you support large-scale projects and daily business operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, negotiate, and review construction and service agreements
• Advise project teams on legal matters for ongoing projects
• Update company contract templates and corporate documents
• Analyze bid documents for procurement processes
• Collaborate with external legal counsel for support

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. or J.D.) and Law Society membership
• About 5 years of experience in construction or commercial law
• Knowledge of Public-Private Partnership agreements
• Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
