Substation Electrical Designer

Design high-voltage and medium-voltage substations with AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation for AtkinsRéalis Transmission, Distribution and Renewables. Express interest in future full-time opportunities within the division.As an experienced Substation Electrical Designer, you will work within a multidisciplinary team supporting transmission and distribution projects. Your work will cover substation layouts, electrical diagrams, documentation, and design reviews. The position requires six to eight years of substation design experience and knowledge of utility standards.Key Responsibilities:
Develop high-voltage and medium-voltage substation facility drawingsPrepare layouts, grounding, lightning protection, and cable routing plansAssist with switchgear and control room layoutsPrepare diagrams, schematics, wiring drawings, and cable schedulesReview drawings for CADD standards complianceRequirements:
Associate degree in Electrical Engineering TechnologySix to eight years designing transmission and distribution substationsHydro One and Toronto Hydro CADD Standards experienceProficiency with AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, and ProjectWiseKnowledge of IEEE and ANSI standardsApply substation design, documentation, and CADD expertise while supporting reliable transmission and distribution infrastructure at AtkinsRéalis.
