We are looking for an experienced Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our team in Surrey (B.C.)We offer a 5000$ sign-on bonus, relocation, competitive pay and benefits!In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own toolsEducation, Licenses, CertificationsIn order to succeed in this role-you will need:Commercial or Truck and Transport Journeyman certification is mandatory for this positionCVIP license is mandatoryLocally valid driving permit (mandatory)This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulationsLevel 1 First Aid considered an assetExperienceAdvanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine productsExperience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)Experience with full chassis repairs: Brake Systems, A/C Diagnostics, Chassis Electrical, Transmission Repairs.About The RoleTraining provided (training will be on the day shift).This position will transition into an afternoon role with working hours from 4:00PM to 12:00AM. Monday - Friday (Afternoon Shift)Union environment.Salary is $51.13 hourly. Afternoon shift premium : 1.50$ hourlyWork is mostly on transport trucks and transit buses.Compensation And BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience.
