Group Leader (Restock) – Permanent, Full-Time on Days

Full Time Thorold, ON, CA

Salary Range: $44,800.00 To $59,200.00 Annually

We are looking for a Group Leader to oversee the Restock department at our Thorold Distribution Center. The successful candidate will lead and support the Restock team, drive performance, and foster a positive, values‑driven, and safe work environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work day shifts (5 per week), including a regular Saturday shift, with flexibility to support operational needs.
  • Track team production metrics and collaborate with the Operations Manager to review and improve them.
  • Submit weekly reports on production, workflow, attendance, and overall productivity.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing Team Leaders and Associates through training and onboarding programs.
  • Delegate tasks and assign team members as needed.
  • Conduct performance management activities such as reviews and coaching sessions.
  • Complete daily Leader Standard Work (LSW) tours to observe operations and collect feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and SOP updates.
  • Promote a clean, organized, and safe team environment and ensure all members complete safety training.
  • Manage work schedules, time‑off requests, and shift coverage.
  • Lead team meetings and conduct department inspections.
  • Maintain communication with Operations leadership, People & Culture, and stakeholders.
  • Identify and participate in process improvements, including Lean projects.
  • Resolve issues affecting team engagement and performance.
  • Regularly lift and move items weighing approximately 45 lbs.
  • Perform tasks requiring standing, bending, squatting, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Maintain performance standards, productivity, and accuracy.
  • Use warehouse management software to ensure accurate inventory and orders.
  • Complete other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  • Completion of grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Integrity and honesty with no cutting corners.
  • Strong leadership and people‑management skills, including coaching, training, mentoring, and conflict resolution.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, ADP, WMS, and related tools).
  • Strong judgment and problem‑solving ability in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and strong typing skills.
  • Goal‑oriented with a growth mindset.
  • Attention to detail and continuous improvement focus.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and commitment to safety.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl during the shift.
