Boat and Vessel Fueling Attendant

Location: The Fisherman's Landing and Lodge, Stuart Island, BC

Employment Type: Seasonal, Full-Time (June through September)

About Us: The Fisherman's Landing and Lodge is a beautiful retreat located on Stuart Island, British Columbia. We offer a variety of services to our guests, including a gas dock for boats and vessels. We are currently seeking a Boat and Vessel Fueling Attendant to join our team and provide excellent service to boaters visiting our lodge.

Job Summary: The Boat and Vessel Fueling Attendant will be responsible for safely fueling boats and vessels, maintaining the gas dock, and ensuring a positive experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, an eye for detail, and a strong understanding of safety procedures related to fueling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely fuel boats and vessels according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, including assisting with docking and other needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gas dock area.
• Monitor fuel levels and report any issues or shortages.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Perform routine maintenance on gas dock equipment.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Assist with other marina or lodge duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred.
• Knowledge of boat fueling procedures is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift and carry fuel hoses and other equipment.

Pay: Up to $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
