Your opportunity at Wyloo

Our Site Superintendent keeps our Esker Site running safely, smoothly and to a high standard, every day. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the full daily operation of our remote northern Ontario site: leading your team, managing logistics and maintenance, overseeing health and safety and ensuring everyone who lives and works at Esker does so in a safe, and well-supported environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role that carries real accountability. You'll work closely with the Site Manager and operational teams across the business, coordinating with contractors, health and safety professionals and logistics providers to keep everything moving.

This role supports the operations of our Esker site. From the ice strip at Koper Lake to the maintenance shop, from emergency response planning to daily toolbox talks, what you do here matters to every person on site and to the broader success of Wyloo's operations.

What you’ll bring to Wyloo

You have proven experience leading teams in a remote or fly-in/fly-out camp environment and know what it takes to keep a site operating at a high standard. You've managed the competing priorities of daily operations including scheduling, maintenance, logistics, people and you do it calmly, practically and with clear expectations.

You hold current OHSA Supervisor training, a Standard First Aid & CPR AED C Certificate and a valid Ontario Class G driver's licence (or equivalent). Additional qualifications in Common Core Training for First Line Supervisors, fork truck or heavy equipment operation, or incident investigation will be well regarded.

A trade background or working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, mechanical or welding is a genuine asset, this is a role where that kind of practical capability makes a real difference. Experience with maintenance planning software is also expected.

As a leader, you set clear expectations and hold people to them, but you do it in a way that builds trust and brings teams with you. You exercise sound judgement under pressure, communicate clearly and lead by example in everything from safety behaviours to how you treat the people around you. You are resilient, adaptable and ready for the realities of life and work in a remote setting.
