Your new role  

Reporting to senior leadership, the Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls for the organization. This is a hands-on position that combines traditional controllership responsibilities with significant exposure to manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, work-in-progress analysis, banking relationships, government funding programs, and operational decision support. The successful candidate will work closely with production, purchasing, engineering, and executive management to provide accurate and timely financial information that drives business performance.

What you'll need to succeed  

The ideal candidate will hold a CPA designation and bring progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager capacity. You will possess strong expertise in inventory accounting, product costing, labour and overhead allocations, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and ERP systems. Beyond your technical capabilities, you are a hands-on finance professional who enjoys digging into the details, partnering with operations, improving processes, and taking ownership of outcomes. Experience working with banks, government agencies, financing programs, audits, and year-end processes will be considered a strong asset.
