Purpose of the position

The position will:

• Responsible for the research, development and implementation of programs and services for Parent education, Early childhood development, and Positive family development.
• Responsible for administrative information supporting program reporting and longevity.
• Work with other programs within the County to deliver programs or events.

To be successful in this position, you will:

• Come to us with a Diploma in Social Work, Early Childhood Development, or a related human services field.
• Have 2-3yrs experience working in the field of early childhood development and parent supports.
• Have relative certifications such as Brain Story, 1st Aid, and Mental Health 1st Aid.
• Understand how to build and maintain positive relationships with community members.
• Be well-developed in public relations skills.

Position details:

• Salary range is: $33.53 to $42.97 hourly
• 1x part-time (0.80) permanent position and 1x part-time (0.8) term position
• Hours: 28 hours/week. May have to work some evenings or weekends as needed
• Comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
• Extended Health and Dental, disability, life insurance, Employee Assistance Program, of which the County pays pro-rated amount of the premiums.
• Participation in our Local Authorities Pension Plan.
