Area Manager (Toronto)

Overview

The Area Manager is responsible for overall sales performance through recruitment, management, and development of all Financial Sales Associates within the area of assignment. The position also serves as the primary Relationship Officer, managing relationships between the Financial Sales Associates, China Bank branch officers, staff, and the China Bank Area Head. The Area Manager reports directly to the Regional Sales Head.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales production targets in terms of parameters set by the company for his area of assignment.
  • Ensure Financial Sales Associates in the area deliver Minimum Validation Requirements set by the company.
  • Oversee recruitment activities within the area to ensure 100% Financial Sales Associate complement.
  • Maintain relationships with China Bank branch officers, staff, and the Area Head.
  • Assist Financial Sales Associates in gathering and converting Qualified Sales Leads to achieve 100% branch activation.
  • Manage all sales‑related activities of the Financial Sales Associates through monitoring and activity management system.
  • Develop selling skills and professional knowledge of each Financial Sales Associate through joint field work, coaching, and training.
  • Generate and submit all reports requested by management in a timely and accurate manner.

Required Qualifications

  • College graduate from a reputable university.
  • At least 2‑4 years of experience in a sales management role.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools (Word and Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work experience in bancassurance sales; or sales and customer service experience in banking, transport, pharmaceutical, pre‑need, hospitality, or IT industries.
  • Self‑driven and highly motivated.
