Expected Start Date: November 01, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Royal University Hospital, St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon City Hospital City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Ostomy & Wound Resource Team Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse C $45.830 to $56.140 Travel Required: No Job : The Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence (NSWOC) provides specialized nursing services to patients who may have developed or have a disorder in the genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and/or integumentary systems. They provide specialized holistic assessment and management as an inter-professional team member and participate in professional development, research activities, knowledge translation, and system-level thinking. They provide counselling and education for patients, both independently and in collaboration with the health care team. In consultation with physicians, community counterparts and other health care professionals, they use best practice and guidelines developed by Canadian Association of Enterostomal Therapist and World Ostomy Association to ensure patients are accessing appropriate care to achieve the desired outcomes. Experience
- Five (5) full time years of experience as a Registered Nurse
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Other Education and Training
- Certification as a wound care clinician from an accredited program
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Graduate of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Management programs
