Stantec is looking for a Senior Geochemist / Water Quality Specialist to contribute to environmental solutions in the mining sector across Canada. Work remotely and leverage your expertise in geochemistry and water quality. This intermediate to senior-level role involves managing data analysis, geochemical modeling, and reporting on mining projects. Candidates should have a Master’s degree in geochemistry and a decade of relevant industry experience. Your participation in multi-disciplinary teams will drive vital assessments in support of resource development and environmental stewardship. Key Responsibilities:
- Actively promote health and safety standards
- Develop and revise geochemical models
- Collaborate on groundwater and surface water assessments
- Analyze data and produce technical documentation
- Travel to field sites for various assessments
- Master’s degree in geochemistry or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in consulting environments
- Ability to obtain professional registration (P. Geo. or P. Eng.)
- Familiarity with Canadian water quality guidelines
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
