Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Facility Services Supervisor to oversee facility operations and maintenance at a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Whitby, Ontario. The role involves leading maintenance teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing critical building systems, and supporting production operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee facility operations and maintenance activities with focus on regulatory compliance and safety
- Lead maintenance teams responsible for HVAC, utilities, equipment, and building infrastructure
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining GMP standards
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure reliable facility operations
- Manage contractor relationships, service agreements, and budget oversight
Requirements
- Advanced degree plus 3 years GMP/pharmaceutical experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 5 years
- Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field preferred
- Leadership experience with maintenance teams of 4-12 technicians
- Proficiency in building management systems (BMS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utility systems, and compressed gases
- FDA, EMA, and cGMP regulatory compliance experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between facilities as needed
Compensation: $69,400–$104,050 annualized
