Lead Electrical Engineer

We require a Lead Electrical Engineer / Design Manager to join our Toronto based design team, contributing & coordinating design on major international minerals and metals projects that ECG has been driving from study phase.

ECG Engineering are leaders in the Electrical Engineering space, delivering design and project delivery services to the Mining, Utilities, Materials Handling and Industrial sectors with extensive and proven capabilities in Australia, and around the world.
With offices in Perth, Brisbane, Toronto, Vancouver, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania & Cape Town, ECG have the capability to design and deliver on complex projects, from early study work to commissioning and handover, drawing on the expertise of senior ECG personnel who have worked together for 30 + years.
About the role
The role will be primarily Toronto based working with established design teams, as well as the coordination of works from our engineering office in Perth and Manila.
About the candidate
To be considered for the role of Lead Electrical Engineer / Design Manager you need solid design experience on complex high value electrical projects.
Have a solid understanding of technical (E, I&C) principals relating to the large industrial & complex operational assets that our clients own and operate. Experience in the interface between client expectation & technical project delivery with Tier 1 Miner.
- Relevant Electrical engineering degree or equivalent qualification
- Experience co ordinating / driving specialized electrical teams, on front end greenfield and brownfield development projects with complex electrical scope
- LV design experience (LV MCC design, protection & co-ordination studies)
- Major project design experience throughout the design cycle
- Experience / exposure to project delivery, driving a job, occasionally working across multiple projects
- Understand the complexity of project development process for tier 1 miners
- Provide specialized advice and guidance to client
- The ability to contribute / influence in a meeting; exercises good judgment on how to contribute, and collaborative behavior
