Automation Project Manager

Job Responsibility:

: Aris Building Technologies installs, programs & commissions BAS systems (BAS) for multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs) and commercial buildings. Aris also provides a 24/7 BAS remote monitoring service. The Automation Project Manager is responsible for managing the automation department including BAS projects and the monitoring department. The Automation Project Manager is also responsible for sales and estimating for new BAS projects. New BAS systems are primarily Niagara 4 framework, legacy systems include Niagara AX, Reliable Controls, KMC. Requirements:

• Candidate should be proficient in programming using Niagara 4 framework (certification is preferred) and should have a basic understanding of the legacy systems.
• High level of understanding of HVAC systems and controls for multi-residential buildings.
• Good communication skills

Duties:

• Responsible for profitability of the Projects;
• Design/Engineering work when required (P.Eng not required);
• Sales Support, Proposals and Quotations Preparation (including project budgets), Bid and Specifications Preparation;
• Project management, produce schedules, coordinate with client/ contractors, produce, budgets and ensure jobs are profitable.
• BAS Monitoring & management of all staff in the DDC/monitoring department;
• Organization of all in-house documentation pertaining to DDC Service, PM Contracts;
• Customer inquiries on the phone, via email, and in person - typically this means dealing directly with property managers, building owners, engineers from a range of disciplines. Dispatch DDC service work as required.
• Identify customer requirements and be able to advise potential clients on HVAC Service and PM Service;
• Prepare detailed proposals including technical scope and informational packages that accurately reflect the scope of work and address all requirements with clarity;
• Follow up with potential customers to ensure satisfaction and build relationships;
• Maintain and update information using the sales database;
• Sourcing Equipment and Materials for Projects and Service;
• Interface with engineering, construction, and customer service personnel as required to develop customized solutions and respond to customer inquiries;
• Travel to Job Sites time to time and troubleshoot BAS problems;
• Survey and appraise HVAC and Control Systems to determine replacement, repair, modification, maintenance, and technical support requirements. Read and interpret drawings, equipment, and job conditions. Develop pricing (cost estimates and proposals) and adhere to our company's pricing policies
• Have strong understanding of HVAC Control Systems to accurately appraise systems components, evaluate general conditions, and recommend the best system or technical support program
• Encourage clear and productive working relationships with customers, vendors and other outside services
• Responsible for annual energy saving reports, annual recommissioning reports, commissioning reports, and other routine deliverables.
• Responsible for company IT needs, including provision, maintenance and upgrading of servers, software, phone system, computers, and other related equipment.
• On call as required to perform required duties
• Other tasks as assigned by the Management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
