Utilities Superintendent in Kraftmill Operations

Drive operational excellence as Utilities Superintendent in our kraftmill. Oversee recovery processes while prioritizing safety and efficiency. As the Utilities Superintendent, you will ensure the effective operation of recovery systems crucial to our kraftmill. This role emphasizes a commitment to health and safety regulations, empowering your team to meet ambitious targets. You will also implement training programs to optimize quality and efficiency and ensure open communication with union representatives to foster continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with all safety and environmental laws
- Lead team efforts to hit operational and cost targets
- Create and implement comprehensive training programs
- Engage in monthly performance and budget review discussions
- Build relationships with Maintenance Department for better synergy
- Engineering degree or a valid 2nd/3rd Class power engineer certificate
- Strong communicator with insightful management skills
- Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
